Baptist Preacher Discovers “Cure” For AIDS

“The Bible is only as good and decent as the person reading it.” – Dan Savage

Just in time for the holidays, a Baptist Preacher has finally “discovered the cure for AIDS.” According to Pastor Steven Anderson of Tempe, AZ, all we have to do to finally be rid of this horrible immunodeficiency disorder that has destroyed the lives of so many and have an “AIDS-free world by Christmas” is read the Old Testament and then engage in a Hitler-esque, month-long, global campaign of genocide!

“It was right there in the Bible all along — and they’re out spending billions of dollars in research and testing.” said Anderson.” It’s curable — right there. Because if you executed the homos like God recommends, you wouldn’t have all this AIDS running rampant.”

Wow. Way to make your religion even more irrelevant, Steve. I guess since that crusty old fuck Fred Phelps finally died, there’s room at the top of the Christian bigot food chain.

Methinks Thou Dost Protest Too Much
If this oxygen thief really wants to execute people, he should definitely start with himself. Then again, maybe I’m being too harsh. As we’ve seen time and time again with people like Pastor Anderson, I’d say there’s about a 100% chance that this dude is actually a closeted homosexual himself and this is just his way of lashing out against those feelings and desires he’s had to repress his entire life because they conflicted with his twisted, bigoted, Angry-Desert-God belief-structure and his childhood religious indoctrination. Poor little guy.

If the next news story you hear about Pastor Anderson involves him blowing a male prostitute in an alley behind his church, don’t be surprised. I certainly won’t.

Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays and God Bless!

  1. Lol! For sure he’s hiding something! Come on out of the closet and ask forgiveness Steve! You don’t have to be scared of the mean Christians anymore!

  2. I love your comments here — now this is the sort of man who should really be arrested — for there’s a UN and international and American laws against calling for genocide … but alas, the Supreme Court ruled in Westboro that anyone might call for the slaughter of gay men .. we’re special in this regard … everyone else is apparently well protected by either the court of public opinion’s outrage (even riots) and/or the law itself.

From what I’ve read elsewhere various political figures are being asked their reaction and they are astonishingly mute …

    • Thanks Jim. While I try to have a somewhat comical/satirical take on this type of bullshit, it is disturbing isn’t it? We do seem to protect idiots like this so long as their bigotry is based in religion and directed at a minority.

Question: As a straight man and a human being, I do my best to call out bigotry and hatred and violence that people like Steve Anderson promote, but in the end, I’m not personally threatened by them. When you hear statements calling for the deaths of an entire section of the population, are you inclined to just shake your head, write it off as a publicity stunt and move on or do you view it as an actual threat – considering the past and ongoing violence visited against gays and other minorities?

After all, Preacher Steve may be an idiot but if some of his followers decided to act on his “advice,” it wouldn’t be the first time a harm has been done because a group of irrational people blindly followed the instructions of an idiotic yet charismatic bigot…
